1:24:30 It makes some sense that the jedi would go full genocide here. If they figured out somehow that the coven could reproduce artificially it would in there eyes be a threat to the jedi. Until discovering Osha and Mae the jedi would have believed that the coven was dying a slow death and would be gone in a generation. Finding out that the coven would survive and produce more dark side users is enough justification for why the jedi would attempt to wipe them out (likely without the approval of the council). As for accepting Osha into the oder despite her age, wanting to keep the weird sorcery baby well accounted for makes a lot of sense. Accepting her into the order is the jedi's best method for keeping her under their control (until they expel her for some brain dead reason)

World building wise I think unique force powers get a bad rep. As I understood it abilities like Shatter point, battle mediation, force ghosts, night sister magic and other weird applications of the force were okay as long as it was clear these were specialized complex abilities the took a long time to learn, or secretive tabu rituals that required many casters. If you do that, writers are more free to introduce new force abilities with less questions of “Why didn’t ___ us it here?” For example shatter point, it helps windu locate and exploit weaknesses (I think). Why doesn’t everyone use it… well it’s a technique he developed to fit his fighting style it’s not something taught in a class be developed over a lifetime as a knight.

Not a subscriber here and a BIG fan of Star Wars in general, and just wanted to say that you did have a lot of great points on the first video, specially on the " Why does Anakin have a padawan." subject and even though I still believe the Clone wars is one of my favorite times in Star Wars I do disagree but regardless your video actually made me realize that the show is old and full with flaws that when I was a kid didn't give any importance to, I still love it maybe even more so now so. first of all i agree with your main criticisms here, but you are also nitpicking. i think the way you perceive certain small details is an effect of whether you like the show rather than a cause. for example if you liked the show you’d probably think the white cloak was a cool homage to gandalf, but since you don’t, you think its ripping off gandalf. if you liked the show you’d accept ahsoka surviving in the water as the force somehow keeping her alive without oxygen, but since you dont, you think its a plot/logic hole. my point is i dislike this show as much as you do but let’s also be honest about what’s actually a substantive criticism

just watched the episode and am only 10 mins into this vod Imo the twins being born by a miracle is world breaking, but it is too early to tell for sure if this is the case. There is one point where the witches go (paraphrasing) "if the jedi found out how you made them, its gonna be an issue". Oh yeah there is one thing I genuinely think they should have done which is, end it at season 11 but have the whole final fight at episode 11 and have chuck show his true colours after the death of his sister, they wouldn't have just had jack there to basically insta kill the biggest supposed biggest threat of the show, They could have even used the fact that there was still lingering hatred that lucifer had for god and had him help them I just generally think it would have been a better ending but yeah.

Lol Yeah we started watching around the same time, tho I was 8 when I started watching it (Turning 18 this year). But what I wanted to say was it's a pretty bug chunk of my life that i'd been watching it so I can't fault it, and I know it's basically me sitting there watching it with rose tinted glasses but I can't help but love it, it's just so nostalgic for me I remember watching after school (Again I started watching it when I was 8)

On your point about the Jedi needing to back out of the war, i think they should have done that. Then, the next logical thing to happen, if youre Palps, is to move up the timeline for the invasion of Coruscant. It doesnt shake up the timeline of events too bad, and it makes logical sense and tactical sense because it pulls the Jedi BACK INTO the war they just left out of necessity

i’m gonna be completely honest with you i don’t think this episode breaks the lore, nor does it destroy or diminish any other character’s legacy …. CONCEPTUALLY. I’m all for expanding and evolving the lore, however the show writers and directors chose the poorest and laziest ways to explore the concepts of “force created beings” “force witches” and whatever tf acolytes are supposed to be. in the hands of someone else this show - without fundamentally changing the overall story - could’ve actually been one of the best star wars stories ever, but once again we’ve been handed a mess

Went into this annoyed, initially. You made all good points. But your take on force ghosts in the OT is frustrating. Those movies are the conception of star wars and to say removing a huge aspect of the lore, and world, would make the series as a whole better honestly just annoys me. But otherwise nice video

The way I see it, The Force is about balance. It is kind of a representation of God. It stands for the equilibrium of good and bad in the universe, but when one side gets the upper hand (or is about to), it balances it back. When evil became prevalent, God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrahh. Later he destroyed the whole world in the flood for the same reason. Evil became too much. The Force had Anakin (the flood) to balance the Sith raise to power the same way God had Noah to continue humanity. Only Anakin fell and later Luke picked up the mantle to save the galaxy/universe. Evil was not banished as well as the EU showed us there were villains out there. Noah may not have fallen but his descendants did and we are in a world today very similar to the time of Noah. Evil is still around and God's promised to judge (balance) the universe. The problem was the whole midchlorians and now "the thread" in Wokelyte. What has the midchlorians introduction achieved in the grand scheme of things? Personally, it is an useless concept. It is like a super smart person. Why do they exist? More neurons? Bigger brains? We don't need to know. It took the amazement of the thing for a very mundane thing. The wokich says the force is not a weapon, which contradicts everything it has been established as it can bee used by force users for good and bad (and she used it as a weapon).

I was 8 when TPM came out. I thought it was ok as a kid. Went back to watching the OT. Never saw the other 2 in theatres. The prequels never grabbed me outside the games.

I have always liked this movie. No, it is not perfect, but I like it. The reaction to TPM should have happened to the more deserving TFA. I left theaters pissed off about TFA and never went back to the Universe again. My luck considering what the universe became. The hate of TFA only happened when TLJ hit theaters and people realized the problems were created by TFA. By the way, the fact that most youtubers write an script for these film-like video assays about the franchises we love and PdoMickey can't have that for both SW and the MCU...😂 Another by the way is that the people of Red Letter Media don't like Star Wars as a whole. My favorite of the sixthology is actually one of the sequels movie. ROTS. That Mustafah fight alone earns my money. Anakin from movie 3 had to be different from movie 2. Luke from movie 3 is not the same of movie 2. There is what? Some 4 or 5 years between both TCW and ROTS movies? Anakin had to mature even a little. If he was the same punk kid of movie 2 would his fall have the impact it did? We knew Anakin's actions in movie 2 and that he was not the most stable of the people. Then, he seems to be better and more maturish in the beginning of Sith before he falls from grace once and for all. He went from joking with Obi-Wan to padawan the Padawans. It was evil. Asking who is the protagonist of TPM is like asking who is the protagonist of Infinity Wars to me.

I’m pretty sure in Lucas’ sequels, the main characters were literally meant to meet the force (the “wills”) and break away from the repeating pattern. That’s why he was so obsessed with the story “rhyming”. The original star wars was called the “journal of the whills”. What’s why it always starts with “a long time ago in a galaxy far far away”

Being that this is a superhero movie, and Peter is great a building things too, you'd think she would have some kind of protective suit or something like a floating pram that would at least mitigate the obvious danger. I suppose in being kind to the writers, we might propose that the intention was to counter balance the intensity of Miguel and present a completely different Peter B, who has become a bit of an ass.

No, because the entire episode was a pov flashback. The "unreliable narrator" mystery box set up (or attempted set up I should say). So EVERYTHING in the episode is from the unreliable narrator pov, including anything that might touch on the lore. So nothing within the episode has any internal validity or wider, canonical validity.
